Monthly Construction Update-February 2026

  • A Groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 28th.
  • The OAC Meeting (Owner, Architect, Contractor) was established for every Wednesday at 2pm, initially virtual with a transition to onsite once job trailers are established with power and heat.
  • The City pursued impacted residents to gain approval for needed CMP changes to accommodate raising the overhead power lines across the Station’s curb cut.

Design & Engineering

  • The design team began reviewing submittals, with Benchmark providing priorities on long lead items.
  • The Chief and City are being consulted on relevant submittals.
  • Small changes are being documented in RFI responses or RFP issuance for pricing.

Construction Activities

  • A Pre-Excavation Site Meeting was held on January 14th. Updates to the site management plan were made and documented.
  • The Building Permit was issued on January 21st.
  • Benchmark mobilized with site fence, initial excavation, etc.
